Located between Spencerport and Brockport, Deerfield’s recently renovated grounds are a great place for your ceremony and reception. The ballroom features large windows with a modern rustic style that runs through the whole property. I love the newly done outdoor landscaping that features large boulders, stone work, and water features that guide you around the building. The pond and pine trees beyond the building are perfect for portraits.
Brief History
Deerfield Country Club was originally constructed in the 1960s as a private club named Craig Hill. Roughly 10 years later, the property was renamed to Deerfield Country Club and opened to the public after renovations to add an events space.
During the next 40 years, Deerfield Country Club hosted thousands of weddings, and by 2013 the owner, Paul Moriarty, thought that its spaces could use a little renovation. He invited his family and friends to take part in this renovation to make the place warm and welcoming. Because of this personal touch, special effort went into making sure that each room was perfect for the purpose it was designed for.
In the past 40 years or so, the club has hosted thousands of weddings, and garnered a reputation for going above and beyond to make your most important day truly special.
Aesthetics
To immortalize the most important day in your life, Deerfield Country Club offers you an array of options that make one fall in love all over again. There is a 4,000 square foot courtyard to host your reception. The courtyard features floor-to-ceiling windows allowing natural light to sweep right in. These windows, combined with the natural light, make the courtyard perfect for photo sessions with your loved ones.
At night, the chandeliers light up the courtyard and add a warm and golden shade to the place. The elegant choice of the guests’ rustic, wooden seats puts a surreal feeling in the air. The care for details is immaculate as beautiful, hand-selected flowers are seated at the center of every table.
Alongside the indoor venue, the club owns a magnificent outdoor venue. Thanks to the country club’s golf course, the picturesque landscapes illuminate the Deerfield wedding venue; these landscapes are perfect for romantic walks in nature or lavish cocktail parties.

Accommodations for Ceremonies and Receptions
Deerfield is a very unique venue with acres of green grounds carefully designed to make the surroundings picturesque. Situated inside these grounds are the main event spaces of Deerfield, The Courtyard and The Overlook.
The Courtyard is a 4,000 square-foot indoor space with a capacity for 260 guests. The central dance floor is surrounded with mahogany chairs, chandeliers, floor-length linens, and pitch-perfect views of nature outside. Leading to its patio is a concrete pathway, where sculpted landscaping and boulders create an atmospheric setting around the arbor.
The Overlook is a 3,100 square-foot venue where up to 145 guests can attend an event. Right beside the reception room is a 800 square-foot balcony with expansive views of the championship golf course. Adjacent to the event space is a 3,300 square-foot patio with a stunning arbor.
The bridal suites are designed for peace and quiet, away from the clamor of the event spaces. The interior decor lends these suites a warm feel, while the furnishings make for a comfortable stay. The Centerpost Grille is a cozy room with wooden beams and gorgeous stonework. It can seat 60 guests and has a patio as well.
Pricing
The custom packages may vary depending on what you choose, but on average a wedding at Deerfield costs $4,000 as the base price and includes any one of the wedding spaces, event management, and set up. Along with the menu selection, additional rentals, and liability insurance, an all-inclusive package costs approximately $18,000-20,000 per 100 guests.
